Usually we think about the options we see and choose among them, sometimes we even think about possible combinations among the options. However we tend not to think about the options that we don't see, so we even don't ask much about them, as the fact that we don't see them means that we believe they don't exists.
In the same way that when the prehistoric man started to stand up and see further while he was trying to solve some problem with his hands and found solutions he did not see when he was on the floor, the same way we have to stand up from our current thinking so that we can see other options that we could not see when we were not standing up. We need to stop thinking only about what we see and ask about what we don't see. It is the same idea when somebody is trying to sell us something and we are given information to make a decision. We need to ask questions about the information we are not given so that we can make a better decision. Sometimes it could happen that you are sold something that you are happy about, but you later could become sad if you found out that for a little more money you could have bought another model that has some more benefits for you that you did not know about.
Students usually choose subjects to study among the curriculum but they could ask about what are they more interested about and create their own studies (like I did with 1-6).
Parents usually choose when to help their children among the spare time they have. They might think about providing private tutors, other activities, etc. but probably they never ask themselves if there could be a website to help their children to think and to solve their problems, specially when they are teens that like to think by themselves and not to follow parents advice without thinking about it or thinking about other options, with their own pros/cons, or even following peers advice.
Employees usually choose among similar jobs to what they have done, maybe with some additional knowledge or experience, but they might not ask themselves about the possibility of starting some business on the side.
Business usually choose among the staff they have or new staff that apply to vacancies when filling employment roles, but they don't benefit from knowledge/experience/motivation that already they have among their own staff and ask how to utilise it for the benefit of the business and the employee.
